In some instances, users need to capture additional notes that are unable to be captured within the Scout Tile or methodology. Notes such as uncommon occurrences that wouldn't be listed in the fields assigned methodology such as flooding, weather damage, or even damage caused by equipment that the user would like to document. These observations can be recorded and tied to specific point in the field by utilizing the Annotation Tile.
First the user will need to be within the field boundary or drop a scouting point by forcing their location. Instructions on how to force a location can be found Here.
When the location is within the field boundary, the user can scroll to the right on the tile menu and select the Annotation tile.
The Annotation tile will open and the user will see several features and text boxes available.
*Currently the About the point tile and the Tags text box are disabled.
To add a note, click within the Notes text box. Type the information needing to be recorded and then click the green Save button when finished.
Users can attach an image to the annotation by clicking on the camera icon located in the upper right corner of the screen. After clicking on the camera icon, the users camera will open on their device and they will be able to capture a photo to attach to the annotation.
*It's important to note that only one image can be attached to an annotation.
After the desired image and notes are captured, click on the Save Annotation button located at the bottom of the screen.
Once the annotation is saved, an annotation icon will appear on the point in the field where the note was captured. There will also be a pop up message at the bottom of the screen alerting the user that the Annotation was saved successfully.
There will be a red dot visible on the sync button in the upper right corner of the screen. This indicates that new data has been entered and is needing to be synced in order for the data to be visible on the Cropwise Protector web portal or the Cropwise Protector Analytics iOS app.
