Notes Tile

In some instances, users need to capture additional notes that are unable to be captured within the Scout Tile or methodology. Notes such as uncommon occurrences that wouldn't be listed in the fields assigned methodology such as flooding, weather damage, or even damage caused by equipment that the user would like to document. These observations can be recorded and tied to specific point in the field by utilizing the Notes Tile. 

Users can add a note, without being within a field boundary, that is an overall Farm level note by clicking the Notes tile. Notes can also be created that are tied to a specific spot in a field by the user being within that field boundary.

To enter a note that is tied to a location in a field, the user will need to be within the field boundary or drop a scouting point by forcing their location. Instructions on how to force a location can be found Here.

When the location is within the field boundary, the user can scroll to the right on the tile menu and select the Notes tile. 

The Notes tile will open and the user will see several features available.

To type a note, click within the text box at the bottom of the screen. Type the information needing to be recorded and then click the green checkmark button when finished to attach the note. 

      

After typing out the note, users can add tags to the note. Tags allow users to better filter and organize notes while viewing the data on the Cropwise Protector web portal. To add a tag, click on the "+" button. The tag window will open and the user can select one or multiple tags they would like to include on the note.  After selecting the Tags, click the green Save button at the bottom of the screen. 

     

Another feature that can be utilized in the notes tile is attaching photo's to the note. To attach a photo, click on the camera icon at the bottom of the screen. 

 

There are two options to select from when attaching a photo to a note. Users can take a photo with the camera on their device by selecting the Camera option. Users can take multiple photos with their camera to attach to the note if needed. One or multiple photos can be imported from the users camera roll photo gallery and attached to the note by selecting the Gallery option. 

After clicking the Gallery option, select the photo(s) to include in the note. Once the photos are selected, click Done in the top-right corner of the screen. 

     

Another feature users can utilize within the notes tile is including a voice memo. To attach a voice memo to a note, click on and hold down microphone icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. While holding down the icon, the user will see where their voice memo is being recorded. To stop recording, release the microphone icon. 

      

The voice memo can be listened to and reviewed by clicking play, deleted by clicking the trashcan icon, or saved and included in the note by clicking on the blue checkmark icon.  To save the note, click on the Save button in the top-right corner of the screen. 

 

Once the Note is saved, a purple Note icon will appear on the point in the field where the note was captured. There will also be a pop up message at the bottom of the screen alerting the user that the Note was saved successfully. 

There will be a red dot visible on the sync button in the upper right corner of the screen. This indicates that new data has been entered and is needing to be synced in order for the data to be visible on the Cropwise Protector web portal or the Cropwise Protector Analytics iOS app.
