Yield records allow users to document what was produced and harvested off a field as a result of all of the inputs that were applied to the field throughout the growing season.
To capture the revenu of a sale from a field, the user will first need to navigate to the Yield tile within the menu on the left side of the screen.
After selecting the Yield tab from the menu, the user will be brought to the page where data can be entered. The user can now begin entering yield records to capture revenu.
Important Note: When the organization has zero yield data entered, the user will see two green buttons that can be selected to create a new Yield record. One is located in the yield record display box and the other in the top right corner of the screen. After at least one record has been captured, there will only be one Add Yield button visible in the top-right corner of the screen.
After clicking the Add Yield button, the user will be brought to the Select Properties page. Here, the user will need to select which commodity they will be entering the record for as well as the properties included in the yield record.
To choose a commodity, click on the Select Commodity dropdown arrow. A selection box will open where the user can click the commodity needed.
After choosing a commodity to associate with the yield record, the user will proceed to select the associated properties from the Farm Field Tree drop down list.
Once the commodity and properties are selected, the user can proceed to the next page by either clicking the green Next button in the lower-right corner of the screen, or by clicking on the Enter Yield Info breadcrumb at the top of the page.
On the Enter Yield Info page, the user can see the commodity and the associated acres for the yield record based on the Commodity and properties that were selected on the previous page.
The user can then begin entering the Yield information. The Entry Name will default as the date and time stamp for when the record is being entered, but this can be changed by clicking in the text box and renaming the record. Select the unit needed from the drop down list, for example, bushels or tons.
Next, enter either the Total Yield OR Avg Yield per Acre. After entering the total yield, the average yield per acre will populate. If the user enters the average yield per acre, the total yield will populate.
The user can then enter the sale information for the yield record. By entering the sale price per unit, the gross revenue will populate. It's calculated by multiplying the price per unit by the number of units per acre, and then multiplied by the total number of acres.
To complete the yield record, select either the green Save button or Save & Add Another, both located in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will complete the yield record and the user will then see the completed entry in the yield records list.
