There are instances where a grower has a farm or field that is no longer being farmed and they want it removed from their farm field tree list, but don't want to delete the field due to historical records being attached. With the Archiving feature, users can "hide" a farm or field from their farm field tree list. The farm or field will no longer be active but will still have all previous records attached.
How can I archive a farm or field?
• Archiving a Farm
• Archiving a Field
Archiving a Farm
To archive a farm, navigate to the Properties menu, select the farm needing to be archived from the farm field tree list, then click on the pencil editing icon.
Within the Edit Farm menu, click on the Archive button in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Note: To delete the farm, click on the drop-down arrow next to the Archive button, then click Delete Farm. If the user deletes the field, it will be removed from the organization permanently and will not be able to be recovered.
After clicking the Archive button, a pop-up will appear that says the farm will be archived along with all associated fields and crop zones, and that the farm can be unarchived at any time. To continue, click the green Archive farm button.
Once the farm has been archived you will receive a confirmation message, and it will no longer be visible in the farm field tree list.
If the user would like to see the archived farm in the farm field tree list, they can toggle that feature on. To allow archived properties to be visible in the farm field tree, click on the farm field tree filter located just above the farm field tree list.
Within the Filter menu, open the Archived filter sub-menu. Click on the toggle-switch to turn on visibility of archived properties in the farm field tree list. To save this change and apply the filter, click the green Apply button at the bottom of the screen.
Once this filter has been enabled, the archived farm will be visible in the farm field tree, but it will be grayed out and labeled as archived.
Note: This filter can be toggled on and off to hide the archived fields from the farm field tree or to make them visible at the user's discretion.
Unarchiving a Farm
To unarchive a farm, ensure that the Archived Properties filter is toggled on, select the farm in the farm field tree list, and click the Unarchive button.
A confirmation message will appear saying that the user is about to unarchive a farm. To continue, click the green Unarchive farm button.
The farm will then be visible in the farm field tree as it was originally.
