MaxScript enhances the performance of Golden Harvest products by analyzing soil and weather data to rank hybrids/varieties with optimum population for the yield environment at the field level. Products may automatically assign to fields by match strength if enough product quantities and recommendation data is available.
To begin, locate the grower account to work within and left click the expander arrow towards the right side of the grower's account line to display more details.
Once expanded, select on Proposal List.
From the Proposal List, a Grower Supplied Order line item with the MaxScript button should appear at the top of the proposal list. Select on the green MaxScript button to open the Crop Plans window. Be careful not to select on the blue SO# as this will take you to CropEdge for GH users or Logistics for GHX users.
The first step when arriving to the Crop Plans window is to make sure all fields are assigned to the appropriate crop to be able to proceed in the next steps. To do so, select Manage Fields towards the top left of your screen.
1. Next, all of the grower's fields will be listed here within the left hand pane. There are three crop options to select from in the horizontal list. If our predicitve crop service was able to make a recommendation based upon prior year data this will be completed. Otherwise, manual input to assign the crop for each field is needed. The first option is Corn, the second is Soybeans, and the third is Other.
A crop of Corn or Soybeans must be set to each field in order to for those fields to populate within the appropriate crop plan.
2. Once all fields have been set to the appropriate crop, choose Save & Update from the bottom left corner of the screen.
3. After saving changes, select the < back arrow in the top left corner to return to the Crop Plans list.
Select a Crop Plan to proceed into the next steps for assignments.
1. To begin assigning products, left click within any field boundary to open the right hand side assignments pane. Toggling between fields can be done by selecting within a different fields boundary on the map OR by choosing Next in the top right corner of the assignments pane to move through the fields list.
2. Select a product by checking the box beside the hybrid name to assign it to this field. For multi-product assignments to a single field see the next section down for "Assigning Multiple Products Per Field."
3. A recommended Planting Rate will be populated. This can be kept or modified to a higher or lower value as needed.
4. The full field acreage will automatically be applied to the selected product, if this needs to be changed due to incorrect boundary size or other reasoning you can do so here. The acreage cannot be set higher than 100% of the current field boundary.
5. This data point shows the selected field acres remaining to be assigned.
6. This data point shows the total remaining crop acres left to be assigned within this crop plan.
7. Within Product Inventory, this value represents the number of units on order in CropEdge for GH users or Logistics for GHX users.
8. Within Product Inventory, this value represents the number of units remaining to be assigned or overage warning in assignments. GHX will warn if the units assigned are higher than the units on order, but will not restrict from allowing the assignment to be made.
9. Once complete, select the < back button to return to the Crop Plans list.
Select another Crop Plan to assign products.
Assignments can be made to the next crop/fields by following the same steps as above. For help on assigning multiple products to a single field see details below.
Assigning Multiple Products Per Field
If multiple products need to be assigned to a field, simply select the first product desired and set the desired field acre coverage to be applied, then select the second desired product and set the desired coverage acres there as well. As long as both product's assigned acres do not exceed 100% of the field area then both products can be assigned to the field together.
Once all assignments for this Crop Plan have been completed, select the < back arrow again in the top left corner to return to the crop plans list.
Back on the Crop Plans screen you may experience an "!" and Orange Triangle beside one or both crop plans. This represents that one or multiple products within the Crop Plan has been over allocated compared to the units on order in CropEdge for GH users or Logistics for GHX users. Select on the Orange Triangle to review which products require more units and how this compares to the order in CropEdge or Logistics
If making product assignments within a crop plan and the product desired is not showing within the Product Inventory list, select Import Order from the bottom left corner of the Crop Plans screen to fetch any updates that may have been made to the CropEdge or Logistics order. This fetch can retrieve missing inventory products in addition to updated product quantities.
Now that all product assignments have been completed you can select on the < back arrow from the top left corner underneath the SO# to return to the grower's Proposal List.
