Cropwise Protector has multiple platforms that are used to view the whole picture of field and crop health based on scouting data. Although these platforms are meant to be used together, they each have their own specific functionalities and are used at different times. This article will break down the functionality of each platform as well as when to use it.
Cropwise Protector Scouting App.
The Cropwise Protector Scouting App is available for download on both iOS and Android devices and is depicted as a green icon with a blue shield.
The Cropwise Protector Scouting app is used for data entry with users manually capturing in-field scouting insights. A methodology is assigned to an Organization, for each crop that is being scouted, in order for users to scout crops for the appropriate insects, weeds, and diseases. Other data points can be captured in the Cropwise Protector Scouting App through the Methodology, Growth Stages, and Notes. Photos and voice memos can also be captured in the scouting app.
An integration with Cropwise Imagery is available where users can view a NDVI imagery layer over the field boundaries while they are in the field scouting in order to use the imagery to help then determine where to scout the field. The users geo location is tracked while using the scouting app in order for them to see their location live in the field while scouting.
All the data entered in the Cropwise Protector Scouting App is saved locally on the users device and will need to be synced in order for the data to be visible to other users in the other two platforms.
