Enogen contracting best practices outline when contracts should be recreated, amended, or voided, as well as provide guidance on addressing issues that can be resolved without taking these actions. Each grower should typically have only one contract per growing year, unless directed otherwise by the Enogen Feed Specialist. Recreating, amending, and voiding the contract may be necessary based on various factors. It's recommended that all active Enogen contracts undergo the amendment process whenever possible, rather than being recreated (which would result in a duplicate contract) or voided entirely.
The following are examples of situations that warrant the need for recreating, amending, or voiding a contract.
(Assuming the grower's initial Enogen Contract for the contracting year has already been created) For more information on How to Create an Enogen Contract click here and then select the appropriate creation platform's article (GHX or E-luminate)
Frequently Asked Questions:
- Fields on a "Total Enogen Acres" contract are incorrect? In this case, since the original Enogen contract was created with a total acre value, the contract does not need an Amendment. The authorized user can simply go into the Enogen contract source platform, open Stewardship and choose "Assign Fields." Assigning Enogen fields will allow the authorized user to add or remove fields on the contract. After this process is completed and saved, the contract will be updated directly and resend for signing will NOT be required.
- The Grower name/SAP/address/etc. is incorrect on the contract preventing me from ordering seed? In the event the contract is created under an incorrect grower account or SAP ID, the contract will need to be voided and recreated. As this information is restricted and cannot be changed after the contract ID is created.
Situations NOT requiring an Amendment or Void, with solution:
- Contract was sent to an incorrect email or phone number for grower: Use Resend for Signing functionality.
- Signer did not receive the email/text notification, or this has expired: Use Resend for Signing functionality.
- Total Enogen Acres contract needs fields added or removed: Use "Assign Fields" functionality by selecting on the Stewardship button in the contracting interface (GHX or E-luminate) then correct as needed. Adjust field maps within Field Activities first to achieve the correct acres before adding new fields to the contract.
Situations when Amending a contract is required: Requires the contract to be resigned by all parties.
- If by Syngenta Digital Support Team Recommendation.
- Enogen Units required within the contract are too low or too high compared to the actual units needed for planting. Outside of the range +/- 5% of the actual units needed. (Can prevent order from being placed in CropEdge if unit quantity is out of range)
- A Total Enogen Acres contracted acres are too high or too low +/- 5% of the actual intended planting acreage.
- The Grower's Feed Headcount or Type (Beef/Dairy) is incorrect and needs to be adjusted.
- The Grower's storage location(s) need to be adjusted for where the current year's crop will be stored.
- The contract signers did not attach to contract during the creation process even though it was submitted successfully.
- Enogen Fuel contract Delivery Schedule needs to be edited or reallocated.
- Planting Rate or Estimated Yield was set incorrectly on the contract. (Causing Units Required to be High or Low)
- If Enogen Contract was not signed by the grower within 120 days of creation.
Situations when Voiding a contract is required:
- If by Syngenta Digital Support Team Recommendation.
