To import field shapefiles from FarmShots into Land.db, first log into FarmShots (www.farmshots.com) within Google Chrome browser. Next, choose Download Shape within the more options button for every farm that needs the shapefiles exported.
Once the shapefiles are downloaded, select them within the lower left corner of Chrome. These files can also be found within the Downloads folder on the machine.
With the downloaded folder open, select Extract all and then choose Extract within the pop up screen.
The files are now extracted and ready to be imported into Land.db or another program.
Within the Land.db desktop client, the downloaded shapes can be imported to a single field at a time or mass imported to numerous fields at once.
To import a shape to a single field, select the field within the Land menu and then select Import Shape within the map tools button.
Next, navigate to the Downloads folder to find and then select the exported shapefile out of FarmShots.
Click within a field boundary that belongs to the previously selected field and then choose Save.
This shape is now successfully imported to the selected field.
To import shapes to multiple field at a time, select a field within the Land menu and then select Mass Import Shape within the map tools button.
Next, navigate to the Downloads folder to find and then select the exported shapefile out of FarmShots.
Select a field in your list within the Farm Field tree and then click within a field boundary of the imported shapefile to assign that boundary to the selected field. When ready, select the next field within the Farm Field tree and then click within a field boundary of the imported shapefile to assign that boundary to the selected field.
To exit out of importing shapefiles, simply click the tools and then choose Close Shapefile.
