Land.db v. 22R
Land.db has been updated to maximize user efficiency. Land.db v. 22R has all the functionality as previous versions of the software, with a few changes made to button placement and the overall aesthetic of the program. Keep in mind that the update has changed the overall look of Land.db Client and not the www.landdb.com version as of now. These release notes will highlight the major changes that have been made. The Land.db Icon has been updated to the image pictured below.
Upon opening the program, you will see the following screen. The app will open and prompt you to log in using your Google or Microsoft account. After logging in, the program will sync with the server and open your Land.db account.
Home Screen Navigation
The datasource name, along with the selected crop year, is now located in the center of the top of the page. The datasource name has been placed front-and-center at the top of the page to make sure your farm is the focus of your experience. The menu options have been moved and will appear on the same line and on either side of the data base name.
The sub tabs are located beneath the menu tabs and database name/crop year selection area.
Farm Field Tree
The farm field tree icons have been edited so that different shapes represent the different
levels of the farm. The rectangle and two dots represent the farm level, the rectangle by
itself represents the field level and the single dot represents the crop zone.
Land > Info Tab
After selecting the field or crop zone level, the user can look at the field and crop zone tabs such as Info, Applications, Summary and Yield. These tabs are still located on the right side of the page but display differently.
The Info tab now displays a large image of the field or crop zone selected in the center of the page and the related information, (Location, Crop History, FSA Information, Legal Information, Land Information, Water Information, Tillage Information, Regulatory Permit Information, Water Information, Stewardship Information and Notes), is displayed on the right side of the screen. The user will scroll within that window to access all related information categories.
The field name is displayed on the map in the top-left corner rather than above the map.
Land > Map Tab
The only change made to the Map tab is where the field area is displayed. It is now displayed on the map in the top-left corner rather than above the map. Other tools and options are still located in the top-right corner of the map.
Land > Application Tab
On the Applications tab, for the field or crop zone level, the jump arrow that allows users to navigate directly to the application selected has been changed to text. This text reads Go To Application and is more visible for the user.
Note that the application list layout has been altered to clearly separate each application present in the list. This has been done by including slightly shaded, alternating color gradients on each application row in the list.
When entering records such as applications, work orders, invoices or recommendations, the select data tabs have been moved to the center of the screen.
A cancel button has also been added to these pages when creating a record. This allows the user to quickly exit this page without having to hit the back arrow.
The Add Product and Remove Product buttons have changed locations on the pages where users create records, (Applications, Work Orders, Invoices, Recommendations). These buttons are now located above the first product line in the list rather than at the bottom of the page.
On the Reports tab, after selecting the report category, users now click the Create New Report button to the right of the report categories list, rather than the bottom of the page. This allows for quicker navigation when running reports.
The Information tabs on the report page are also visible in the center of the page, identical to the pages where records are being entered.
