Added the ability to choose the Greenhouse Gas calculator
Choose between the Field to Market or Cool Farm Alliance calculator or both when starting an assessment. If working with a Sustainable Solutions program, check with the Sustainable Solutions Lead to determine the calculation needed to submit.
Soil Characteristics tab has been moved to prevent error
The Soil Characteristics tab would give an error message if it did not receive a response quick enough from the NRCS Ssurgo site. The Soil Characteristics tab has been moved later in the assessment to allow more time for the results to populate without an error.
Added additional details for Soil Characteristics error message
Errors in the field shapefile such as a "bowtie" or "tail" in Land.db could cause the Soil Characteristics to fail. When this is detected, an error message will appear. This error message has been updated with specific instructions on how to check and correct these field shapefiles. The best practice is to save a draft before calling Syngenta Digital support or correcting the Land.db field shapes.
Examples of "Bowties" and "Tails"
Added ability to Save Draft at any point
It is no longer required to complete the entire page in order to save a draft. Now the assessment can be saved even if the tab is only partially completed. This allows the user to save any completed work and return later to finish.
Improvements to matching fertilizer products
Now when selecting Type in the fertilizer dropdown menu, the corresponding Nitrogen Source is applied with the correct numbers. This then applies to every field within the assessment where that fertilizer was used.
If Slow Release or Manure is selected or the Nitrogen Source is manually entered, this will also apply to all fields within the assessment for that same fertilizer. After completing the assessment these values will also populate on future assessments.
Corrected indicator for complete or missing data
When submitting data for multiple cropzones, additional validation has been added to help with understanding the status. A green check mark means the information is complete for that cropzone. A yellow exclamation mark means there are values that might be incorrect and need to be checked. A red exclamation mark means there is missing info or the info is outside of the accepted range.
Updates to Field Management tab
The Field Management tab has been renamed from Crop Rotations to more accurately reflect the information on that tab. To help reduce time and effort, this page will now remember your selection. After submitting an assessment for a crop, the selection will be preselected for future assessments for that crop, but can be changed if needed.
Added map as resource for determining CMZ number
A map of the US Crop Management Zones (CMZs) has been added to help with filtering the list of management choices. After viewing the map, select Close CMZ Map in the upper left corner to exit out of the map and navigate back to the assessment.
Improved process for selecting correct Field Management
A validation was added to help make sure the correct crop is included in the management selection for the assessment. This was added to help reduce the errors in submitting assessments to Field to Market.
