Viewing Weather by Field
Once logged into the Land.db iOS app, navigate to Explore My Fields within the My Farms section.
A map will appear displaying all of your field boundaries. Navigate and tap within the boundary of the field to view weather information for.
Weather details, field information and other records tied to this specific field are now available for viewing. Other fields can be selected by searching by the field name within the search box at the top or by selecting the closest nearby fields below the search bar. Navigate and tap within the Weather section.
Next, select a predefined filter or manually select a custom start and end date. Once a date range is set, weather data can be viewed for rainfall, humidity, wind speed and temperature for the currently selected field.
At the bottom of the weather screen will display the amount of growing degree days for the selected field and date range. Various base temperatures are available for selection based upon crop.
Weather data pulls from ClearAg Iteris. Iteris collects raw radar, satellite, observation, and numerical weather prediction data from NOAA and international weather agencies and combines them within proprietary multisensor precipitation analysis system.
Viewing Weather by Zip Code
To view weather data for a region, tap within the Weather section within the Home screen. Weather is defaulted to your current location and can be changed to a designated zip code by tapping on the gear icon in the lower right corner of the tile.
Next, select a predefined filter or manually select a custom start and end date. Once a date range is set, weather data can be viewed for rainfall, humidity, wind speed and temperature.
