Using the Cropwise Financials mobile app, weather can be viewed for the current location, a specific zip code, or by field. Weather for the current location or zip code can be viewed by selecting on the Weather block on the Dashboard screen. Viewing the weather by field helps with understanding specific conditions or historical weather data for a targeted area.
To view the weather by field, start on the dashboard by selecting the Properties block. Within Properties, navigate to a field by selecting on a Farm and then Field.
Selecting a field on the map, or in the list of fields, will display the information about that field along with the crop assigned to it. Select View Full Details to see Field Details, Recent Activity, Weather and Tasks. Select the Weather block to view all the weather details of the field.
The weather information will default to Today, but can be switched to 10 different preset date ranges for Forecast and Historical weather information. A Custom Date range can all be set to view weather for a given date range. This could be applied to view weather from the date of planting till harvest, for example.
After setting the date, the weather information can be toggled between Rainfall, Humidity, Wind Speed, and Temperature.
Included with viewing weather conditions by field are Growing Degree Days, also known as Growing Degree Units. This is displayed for the same date range selected at the top of the page. The setting can be adjusted based on the crop by scrolling the target temperature wheel left or right.
