Easy Scout is a new feature within Cropwise Imagery web that allows users, especially those managing large properties, to prioritize and save time when determining which fields to scout first.
Within the Map View menu, the Easy Scout feature can be found at the bottom of the screen. It uses an algorithm that reviews NDVI Imagery for a given date range to determine whether field health is declining or inclining, and then categorizes fields as either red (high priority), yellow (medium priority), or green (low priority).
The Easy Scout algorithm uses the best available images, removing any images with cloud coverage greater than 70%. The algorithm determines scouting priority based on the change of the average NDVI value over a time period, which includes the past 30 days for Sentinel satellite imagery and the past 14 days for fields that have Planet satellite imagery access.
A filter option is also available to filter by satellite source, as well HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW priority.
Collapsing the field-by-field Easy Scout view will toggle on a summary view to highlight all fields by either HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW priority.
