Defining Your Operation

The first step in completing your assessment is Defining Your Operation. To begin, click on the green "Define your operation" button.  

The next step in defining your operation is selecting the Primary Crop of the operation. Select the crop in the list that you want the assessment questions to be tailored to. If you are working with a value partner, select the crop tied to that partner. Once the crop is selected, click Next. 

After selecting the primary crop, enter the primary crop acres. Simply click within the text box and type in the number of acres being grown of the primary crop. Once the number of acres have been entered, you will need to indicate where that crop is being grown. 

To select the location, click on the button that says Select Address. 

When you click on Select Address, A map will appear on the screen and will use the geo location of the device you are working on to drop a point on the map. The user can click and drag the map around to find the operation location or they can manually type in the address of the operation. By typing in the address, a pin will be dropped on the location entered instead of going off your devices geo location. 

After dropping a pin on the location, click the green Confirm button. 

The next step is to enter the whole farm acres. As shown in the first image, the Primary Crop acres are shown toward the top of the screen. There is an option to enter additional acres. 

There is blue clickable text that displays a brief description of additional acres once clicked on. The description is captured in the second image below. 

            

After entering your operations additional acres, you will see that the additional acres have been added to the primary crop acres providing a total number of Whole Farm Acres. One this information has been entered, click Next at the bottom of the screen.  

Then, select your irrigation usage by choosing either Irrigation or Rainfed. This information is based on the irrigation practices for the primary crop. 

The next step in defining your operation is to identify the Partner Company you are working with on sustainability. If you are not working with a partner, click the box next to I'm currently not working with any partners. 

After typing in the partner or selecting the box indicating that you aren't working with a partner, click the green Next button. 

**It's important to note that the Value Partner you are working with must be typed in exactly and the partner pairing is case sensitive. Once you type your Partner Company, it will appear in a dropdown where it can be selected. 

For example: Demo Partner could not be typed in as demo partner, Demo partner or demopartner.

             

After you finish defining your operation, a screen will appear that lists all of the Outcomes to achieve. These are pre-populated based off how you defined your operation on the previous questions and can not be edited. To finish and get started on the assessment, click Done at the bottom of the screen.
